Forecast Discussion: High pressure centered over Maryland will cause calm winds Saturday morning, leading to intense radiational cooling and a strong nocturnal inversion. That will lead to increased fine particle concentrations. A few areas, particularly where wood fired stoves may be pervasive, could see enhanced concentrations on Saturday morning but increasing winds during the day on Saturday will help to disperse this pollution. A few areas may flirt with Moderate AQI for the daily average. A powerful cold front will move through pre-dawn on Sunday morning. Strong winds associated with the front will usher in a clean airmass and Good air quality. Steady clean northwest flow will continue on Monday, continuing Good air quality for the start of the Thanksgiving work week. -MDE
