Forecast Discussion: Current conditions: Colder air has made a comeback across the Delaware valley this Thursday afternoon. Very low relative humidity has brought fine particulate concentrations well down inside the good range. Skies will clear tonight as temperatures fall to near 20 degrees in the coldest spots. *** Friday's forecast: Still on the cold side Friday in spite of a mostly sunny sky as temperatures only recover into the upper 30s. The air will remain rather dry, so PM2.5 levels remain in the good range. *** Extended forecast: High pressure settling south and east of us over the weekend will cause winds to shift into a west to southwest direction and transport in milder air. With a good deal of sunshine Saturday and Sunday, temperatures will rise into the 50s. The next weather system bringing rain may not move into the area until Monday night or Tuesday. Air quality may go into the moderate range Sunday into Monday with light winds and more limited mixing.---McAuliffe
