Forecast Discussion: FORECAST SUMMARY: Monday, April 23rd, 2018 through Monday, April 30th, 2018 Ozone: 8-hour Ozone concentrations are expected to be mostly Good through the week, but moderates are possible Monday and again early next week. PM-2.5: 24-hour Fine Particulate concentrations will range from Good to low Moderate through the forecast period. FORECAST DISCUSSION: Monday will be the warmest day of the week with high pressure dominating. The warmer conditions may cause a few monitors to hit Moderate for ozone and/or fine particulate; however, an easterly wind will stop levels from significantly increasing. A weather disturbance south of Michigan, and another dropping in from the northwest, may bring scattered showers for Tuesday. High pressure slides in Wednesday but another system passing late Thursday/early Friday will bring another chance for precipitation. After a warm start to the week, temperatures will fall into the 50s for the rest of the workweek. Both ozone and fine particulate will range generally Good Tuesday through Friday. EXTENDED FORECAST: Extended forecast models show a weak system passing by Saturday but then high pressure dominating for the start of next week. Temperatures through the period should be seasonable. Generally Good air quality can be expected during the weekend while a mix of Good and low Moderate ozone and/or fine particulate will be possible early next week… Forecast updated by Stephanie Hengesbach: Monday, April 23rd, 2018 Next forecast update: Monday, April 30th, 2018
