Forecast Discussion: Current Conditions: As of 2 PM on Wednesday, mostly sunny skies prevail across much of eastern PA as an area of high pressure continues to reside over the northern Mid-Atlantic region. Right now, light variable winds along with the brilliant sunshine are helping to drive temperatures near the 90 degree mark. The combination of the sunny and warm conditions are forcing ozone levels to rise into the low moderate category. Expect good to moderate air quality to persist into tomorrow as conditions stay warm and become more humid. *** Thursday's Forecast: So for Thursday, expect mostly sunny skies in the morning to give way to increasing cloudiness in the afternoon as the area of high pressure over the northern Mid-Atlantic region begins to break down. A frontal system draped over the central Mid-Atlantic will allow a disturbance to move from west to east along it. This disturbance is likely to trigger some shower development, although it is primarily expected to occur late in the day. Southerly flow over the region will allow temperatures to reach well into the 80s again. Ozone will stay near the good / moderate threshold thanks to the increasing afternoon cloud cover and rain chances. --Nolan
