Forecast Discussion: An Air Quality Alert is being issued for Friday May 25th statewide for UNHEALTHY ozone readings. Full sunshine and favorable west southwest wind flows will allow ozone readings to reach UNHEALTHY during the late afternoon and well into the evening. Highs into the 80s, cooler coastal. A bit more clouds expected on Saturday with increased humidity, a mix of sun and clouds, with a chance of showers later in the day. Ozone will reach well into the MODERATE, possibly UNHEALTHY, while fine particles are expected MODERATE statewide. Highs again into the 80s. A backdoor cold front after dark will result in a sharp temperature drop, with much cooler weather Sunday with a drop in temperatures of about 15 degrees, with lots of clouds.
