AQI: Good (0 - 50) AQI: Good (0 - 50)
Air quality is considered satisfactory, and air pollution poses little or no risk.
AQI: Moderate (51 - 100) AQI: Moderate (51 - 100)
Air quality is acceptable; however, for some pollutants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.
AQI: Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (101 - 150) AQI: Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (101 - 150)
Although general public is not likely to be affected at this AQI range, people with lung disease, older adults and children are at a greater risk from exposure to ozone, whereas persons with heart and lung disease, older adults and children are at greater risk from the presence of particles in the air.
AQI: Unhealthy (151 - 200) AQI: Unhealthy (151 - 200)
Everyone may begin to experience health effects members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.

Forecast Discussion: Friday, July 21: Warm temperatures and periods of sunshine will support ozone formation, and light northwesterly winds will limit pollutant dispersion in the Youngstown area. Therefore, despite cloudy skies reducing ozone formation during the midday hours, AQI levels will be low-Moderate. Saturday, July 22, and Sunday July 23: As a low pressure system approaches and passes through northeastern Ohio, mostly cloudy skies will reduce ozone formation, and scattered thunderstorms will enhance mixing in the atmosphere. These conditions will lead to Good AQI levels on both days. Monday and Tuesday, moderate northerly to northwesterly winds will disperse pollutants and bring cooler air into northeastern Ohio, limiting ozone formation. As a result, AQI levels will remain Good on both days. Wednesday, sunny skies and warmer temperatures will enhance ozone formation. In addition, lighter winds will reduce pollutant dispersion. However, pollutant carryover from the previous days will be low. As a result, AQI levels will be Good.
