Forecast Discussion: High pressure continues to dominate on Saturday. Vertical mixing will remain weak, resulting in fine particle concentrations well within the Moderate range for most areas. On Sunday, higher early morning fine particle concentrations may keep the daily average concentration near the Good/Moderate threshold, despite northwesterly winds during the day bringing cleaner air to the region with relatively clean afternoon conditions. A return to high pressure will result in weakening winds into next week and fine particle concentrations again likely flirting with the Moderate AQI range on Monday. -MDE
