Forecast Discussion: FORECAST SUMMARY: Monday, March 30th, 2015 through Monday, April6th, 2015 PM-2.5: 24-hour Fine Particulate concentrations are expected to be mostly Good through the forecast period… FORECAST DISCUSSION: Clean Air Quality is expected during the last week of March and beginning of April… Monday skies will clear with brisk winds following the front that swept through the state on Sunday. Another clipper system will pass through the region Monday night and Tuesday morning before skies clear again during Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday will likely be the warmest day of the forecast period as brisk winds shift to the southwest. If we see any Moderates during this forecast week, it will likely be during Wednesday. However, with a low level jet stream above us and brisk winds at the surface, it is unlikely that we will see any creep in fine particulates. Another cold from will pass through during Thursday providing the base for more Good Air Quality. Northerly winds, following the front, will persist into the weekend keeping the air clean. We should see another wind shift to the southwest during Sunday, but the brisk nature of those winds will reduce any concern for potentially decreasing Air Quality. EXTENDED FORECAST: Air Quality should remain mostly Good into the next week. Forecast updated by Jim Haywood: Monday, March 30th, 2015 Next forecast update: Monday, April 6th, 2015
