Forecast Discussion: A weak cold front will stall near the I-95 Corridor on Tuesday morning. This front will not promote any clouds or showers, but resulting converging winds will increase ozone into the upper Moderate range. Increasing humidity just ahead of the front will keep particles in the Moderate range for most locations. Calm overnight winds Tuesday into Wednesday will allow particles to continue in the Moderate range. Persisting westerly surface winds and sunny skies will allow emissions from the I-95 Corridor to build and keep ozone just in the Moderate range in eastern Maryland. Surface winds will pick up and shift onshore on Thursday ahead of an approaching disturbance, limiting particles to the Good/Moderate threshold. Increasing cloudiness, as well as the clean onshore surface flow, will keep ozone in the Good range as well. - MDE/PSAQFO
