Forecast Discussion: Sunday, a weak cold front moving into northwestern Louisiana will cause moderate to strong southwesterly winds to gradually shift to northwesterly, effectively dispersing pollutants and yielding Good AQI levels throughout the state. Monday, moderate to strong northwesterly winds behind the departing cold front will disperse pollutants and transport cool, dry air into Louisiana, inhibiting particle production. As a result, AQI levels will remain Good statewide. Tuesday, surface high pressure building over the region will lead to light to moderate northwesterly winds in Louisiana. These winds will continue to disperse pollutants, keeping AQI levels Good across the state.
