Forecast Discussion: Monday, a low-pressure system moving through northern Minnesota will enhance atmospheric mixing and produce moderate northwesterly winds, dispersing pollutants in the Leech Lake Reservation and resulting in Good AQI levels. Tuesday, surface high pressure building over eastern Minnesota will cause winds to diminish and shift to southerly, limiting pollutant dispersion. However, low regional pollutant carryover from previous days will keep AQI levels Good. Wednesday, a cold front will slowly move into northern Minnesota, producing moderate southerly winds that will shift to northwesterly in the afternoon. These weather conditions will disperse pollutants in the Leech Lake Reservation, yielding Good AQI levels.
