Forecast Discussion: Mon : PM2.5 readings are in the teens and 20’s, after averaging in the mid-20’s over the weekend. An upper level ridge is over the Appalachians while a 500 mb closed low is approaching from the central plains. Rain showers are currently moving into the forecast area (Monday morning) and should taper off around noon Tuesday. The surface low moves up to near Chicago tonight dragging a cold front causing temperatures to fall during Tuesday. The rest of the period remains cold and dry under a zonal weather pattern with an approaching surface high.
