Forecast Discussion: Monday, moisture associated with fog and mist has aided particle production in some portions of Louisiana. However, light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will help to disperse pollutants. Therefore, AQI levels will be Good to low-Moderate statewide. Tuesday, moderate southerly winds will develop as a surface low-pressure system moves over northern Texas, helping to disperse pollutants across Louisiana. As a result, AQI levels will be Good throughout the state. Wednesday, a cold front moving into Louisiana from the northwest will enhance atmospheric mixing and produce moderate southwesterly winds, shifting to northerly in the northwestern portion of the state. These weather conditions will disperse pollutants, keeping AQI levels Good.
