Forecast Discussion: February 12 - A warehouse fire has been burning since late yesterday afternoon in Hillsborough, NJ. Residents in that area, particularly those with heart or lung disease, the elderly, and children, are advised to stay indoors and avoid smoke exposure. Fine particle levels outside the area impacted by the fire are currently in the good category and are forecast to stay that way due to southwest winds, low humidity, and cold temperatures. February 13 - Good air quality is forecast across New Jersey due to blustery northwest winds and frigid temperatures. February 14 - Good air quality is forecast across New Jersey with brisk northwest winds and frigid temperatures. February 15 - Moderate fine particles are forecast in the northeast and southwest urban areas of the state with increasing humidity, light variable winds, and warmer temperatures. February 16 - Moderate fine particles are forecast in the northeast and southwest urban areas of the state with southeast winds, warmer temperatures, and rain/snow showers.
