Forecast Discussion: Thur : PM2.5 readings are mostly good with the increase of southerly winds. A surface low pressure over Illinois will drag a cold front through the area today bringing a chance of a little rain. After frontal passage, winds will be gusty from the northwest. Friday and Saturday will be sunny and cooler. The split flow in the mid to upper levels will bring moisture from the southern branch and the northern branch will trigger precipitation which will be snow for at least half of this forecast area. Monday will turn much colder again. Tuesday another clipper system moves through the Great Lakes.
