Forecast Discussion: Cleaner air is moving into the northwestern part of the state this Thursday afternoon on a brisk westerly breeze. Ozone concentrations have fallen to low levels. High pressure will bring sunshine and a few clouds for the day Friday with ozone formation held into the good range. Periods of clouds and sunshine Saturday with ozone rising some, but again held to the upper good range. A weather disturbance may then bring showers and a thunderstorm Sunday. With clouds and convection, good ozone remains likely. The best chance for moderate levels come on Monday with light southwest winds, and warm and humid conditions. Good air quality then returns by the middle of next week behind a stronger cold front.---McAuliffe
