Forecast Discussion: Current Conditions: As of 2 PM on Wednesday, cloudy skies persist over the region as a weak disturbance continues to rotate through the Great Lakes region. Right now, isolated showers are beginning to fire off over Ohio and move eastward into western PA. Showers continue to persist over northwestern PA as well. In addition, winds are blowing out of the west, southwest. As a result, temperatures are hovering in the low 70s (which is a 5 to 10 degree jump from this time yesterday). Air quality levels remain on the low side. The cloud cover and rain is limiting ozone formation to the good range. Expect air quality to remain in the upper good range tomorrow, primarily due to the cloud cover over the area. *** Thursday's Forecast: So for Thursday, mostly cloudy skies will persist over the region as the disturbance that triggered shower development over our area on Wednesday begins to lift off to the north and east. Winds will persist out of the west, allowing temperatures to reach into the upper 70s. The cloud cover over our area should be enough to limit ozone's ability to rise out of the good category. --Nolan
