Forecast Discussion: Current Conditions: As of 2 PM on Tuesday, partly cloudy skies prevail over the region as high pressure continues to be the dominant weather feature across the eastern US. This system, which was off to our west yesterday, is now beginning to move east. As a result, our winds have turned out of the south and west, allowing warmer and more humid air to work in. In fact, temperatures are reaching into the 80s as dewpoints climb through the 60s. Just like yesterday, the addition of clouds during the afternoon has halted ozone production and is keeping it closer to the good / moderate threshold. Expect ozone levels to continue into the good range tomorrow as a cold front advances toward the region. *** Wednesday's Forecast: So for Wednesday, expect the skies to turn cloudy as a cold front, which was over the Midwestern US / Great Lakes region on Tuesday, advances toward our region. In advance of the front, winds will remain out of the south and west, resulting in warm and humid conditions building in over our area. Ozone will continue to be limited, thanks to the cloud cover and the increased rain chances during the afternoon. Therefore, regardless of temperatures reaching into the upper 70s, concentrations should continue to hover in the good range. ---Nolan
