Forecast Discussion: Air Quality forecast for northern Indiana issued Friday, April 17 for Saturday, April 18th thru Tuesday, April 21. The period starts off with a cold front moving in from the north on Saturday morning. Temperatures will not change much, but the winds shift from westerly to northerly to easterly and increase to about 10 mph throughout the day. The refreshed air mass will lead to good air quality. On Sunday, a strong low pressure system moves to the west of the area, creating a rainy, wind day. Air quality will remain good for Sunday. The atmosphere starts to dry out on Monday, but winds will remain strong through Tuesday leading to a continuation of the good air quality. The next forecast will be on Tuesday.
