Forecast Discussion: Thursday will be another cool and dry day in Delaware. Sunny skies and gusty northwesterly winds will persist, and particle concentrations will remain well inside the Good range. **Extended Forecast: On Friday, a cold front will approach from the west, bringing a chance for rain showers in the afternoon and evening. Humidity and cloud cover will increase in the afternoon as winds shift to the south. Particle concentrations will rise in response to higher atmospheric moisture and a period of stagnation in the morning. Wind speeds will pick up in the afternoon, however, and provide enough ventilation to limit daily average particle concentrations to the upper Good range. The cold front will pass through the state overnight on Saturday. Breezy winds and deep vertical mixing will keep air quality in the Good range for the first half of the weekend. -Huff
