Forecast Discussion: Saturday, moisture associated with early morning fog and mist has enhanced particle formation in the northern portion of Louisiana, and calm winds have reduced pollutant dispersion. Despite light light to moderate easterly winds will disperse some pollutants this afternoon, pollutant carryover from the morning hours will result in low-Moderate AQI levels in Monroe and Shreveport. Sunday and Monday, light to moderate northeasterly winds will develop behind a weak frontal boundary moving through Louisiana, dispersing some pollutants. However, high relative humidity associated with scattered rain showers and mist will aid particle formation throughout the state. Therefore, AQI levels will be Good to low-Moderate throughout the Louisiana on both days.
