Forecast Discussion: Friday and Saturday, mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will enhance ozone formation each afternoon. However, light to moderate easterly winds will disperse some pollutants in Louisiana. These winds, combined with low pollutant carryover from day to day, will result in Good to low-Moderate AQI levels statewide on both days. Sunday, light to moderate northeasterly winds will develop behind a weak frontal boundary moving through Louisiana, helping to disperse pollutants. Therefore, despite mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures continuing to support ozone formation, AQI levels will remain Good to low-Moderate throughout the state.
