Forecast Discussion: Monday through Wednesday, light to moderate southerly winds will transport cleaner air into Louisiana and help to disperse pollutants. In addition, upper-level troughs of low-pressure will move over Louisiana Tuesday and Wednesday, increasing atmospheric mixing and producing scattered showers and thunderstorms. Despite hot temperatures and mostly sunny skies enhancing ozone formation, these conditions will result in Good to low-Moderate AQI levels across Louisiana on all three days. |
