Forecast Discussion: A warmer trend anticipated for the weekend into early next week. High pressure will slide south of Rhode Island through the Mid Atlantic states on Saturday spelling lots of sunshine and temperatures to near 40. Air quality should be good with adequate mixing under steady SW winds. Milder still on Sunday with sun and light SW winds. Particulate readings expected to reach MODERATE on Sunday in RI, espectially around the greater Providence area. Precipitation moving in late Sunday as a warm front approaches with temperatures to near 60 on Monday. Stronger SW winds Monday should be air quality back to GOOD.
