Forecast Discussion: An broad area of upper level low pressure will cut off from the main flow and lingering over New England through the week. A surface low pressure will form off the coast and drift up into the Canadian Maritimes. What that means for Rhode Island is showers and periods of rain into Friday. Wednesday and Thursday could even see some rumbles of thunder, with temperatures staying in the 50s. Clouds will keep nightime lows mild. Air quality will be excellent through the entire period with flows coming off the keeping the atmosphere well mixed.
