Forecast Discussion: All zones are Code Green this Saturday afternoon as below normal temperatures and clean sourcing from the north have kept ozone concentrations from rising drastically despite abundant solar radiation and unseasonable dry air. Surface high pressure continues to build in from the north across the Palmetto state and will continue to persist into Sunday. Some mid to high level clouds will move in from the northwest tonight, but are not expected to significantly impact monitor readings. A weak front is expected to develop along the NC/SC border and push slowly south during the day Sunday, which may cause some pooling of precursors along the boundary. With that said, the impact of weekend emissions is still expected to be low and significant urban ozone production is not expected. Thus, all zones are once again expected to be Code Green for Sunday.
