Forecast Discussion: Air quality levels decreased once again after a front swept through the Triad Thursday afternoon. Northwest winds have increased in speed and temperatures have decreased once again for Friday. Lows cold drop into the upper teens tonight before high pressure slides east and the Triad becomes more centered under this air mass. Winds will become calm by Saturday and then shift to the southwest Sunday morning. Clouds and rain showers should arrive in the Triad Sunday evening as AQI levels increase back into the YELLOW range. Rainfall totals Sunday night could end up in the inch range and winds shift back to the northwest Monday morning. AQI levels should decrease back into the GREEN range Monday. (Bodenhamer)
